|10:37 am - I think they call this the "lazyweb"|
Is it possible to rent a laptop somewhere in the city? Anyone have any experiences with doing it? I need wireless capability and word processing that's compatible with my Mac.
Conversely, if anyone has a laptop I could borrow for the last two weeks in May I'd owe you a big favor.
Rent-a-center places do it, so do at least some computer stores.
i have a SHITTY ibm thinkpad, it has wireless, but only like. notepad. and also the screen fallls over sometimes. also it has no cd rom or A: drive. also it's a PIECE OF SHIT. but you know. if nothing else comes up.
They will cut you a deal if you push them.
My adapter and battery just died and I'm not fixing asap or I'd give you mine.
i found these guys by doing a craigslist search. i have no idea about their service, prices, etc., but it might be worth a phone call to find out.http://www.bluemeblue.com/index.htm
Some of the photo rental places do too, like Calumet or Pro Camera. But you'll probably be paying a premium. They ain't cheap, but they're probably Macs.
Psst: any news on that guitar?
I haven't been to my parents' since that last time I forgot. I will remember on mother's Day!
My brother has a couple. E-mail him and he will know if any he is willing to loan are compatable with yours.
