Walking and Thinking

I really do love that I can walk to work and back everyday. But I didn't realize until now how much I depend on those walks to just let my mind wander and think about my non-immediate needs.

Because of dental appointments, errands, new meetings that I wasn't told the time of in advance, and other dental appointments, I've driven almost everywhere. And now I realize that that's why I'm having a hard time with making journal entries this week.

Don't get me wrong. I actually love driving. But without realizing it, my walks to and from work have become my regular times for day-dreaming, planning, intellectualizing and scheming. Without them, I feel a lot less smart.
